Your Guide To: Las Arenas
Las Arenas started life in 1900 as a bull-fighting ring. As you approach the shopping mall, you will see the original facade, which has been raised up a level since the arena’s transformation to a shopper’s haven in 2011.
Even if shopping isn’t your thing, Las Arenas is such an impressive building, we recommend taking a quick detour there while you’re in the area.
The skywalk on the rooftop terrace offers splendid views of the city and of Montjuïc Hill. Many of the centre’s restaurants are located here, so you can enjoy lunch while taking in panoramic vistas of Barcelona.
The building is crowned by the “Cúpula de las Arenas”, a domed theatre and event centre.
Your Guide To: The Shops
Las Arenas is a favourite spot with Barcelona’s dedicated shoppers. You’ll find everything here – boutiques, high-street fashion labels, cosmetics and salons. There is also a 12 screen cinema.
Your Guide To: Food & Drink
The only difficulty you’ll have when eating at Las Arenas is choosing a place to dine!
There are so many great bars, cafés and restaurants throughout the complex, offering a world of different flavours – italian, asian, german and of course, spanish.
