Your Guide To: Caldetes Beach
Quiet, relaxing and off the beaten track.
Caldetes Beach, also known as Caldes d’Estrach, is situated on Passeig dels Anglesos in the pretty village of Caldetes, approximately 45 minutes from Barcelona.
No matter when you visit, you’ll find that Caldetes Beach is less crowded than other Barcelona beaches.
It’s a very clean beach, with soft, golden sand with plenty of space to relax.
Caldetes Beach is a great favourite with families and those who like a quiet, easygoing beach trip.
If you’d like a bit of activity, why not rent one of the kayaks available? Alternatively, you can climb one of the hills at the nearby Parc de can Muntanyà to get the best coastline views.
We also suggest taking a wander about the town during your visit, starting with the modernist villas along the seafront.
Your Guide To: Eating & Drinking
The beach has a few chiringuitos (beach bars), or you can seek out one of the cafés in the village.
As this is such a lazy day out in a quiet area, we like to bring a picnic with us so that we don’t have to move from the beach.
Your Guide To: Getting There
Journey time from Barcelona city to Caldetes is about 45 minutes. You can catch the train from either Plaza Catalunya or Arc de Triomf.
